Positions we are looking to fill 

Executive Committee Officers

 

Other area of interest:

 Executive Officers to be co-opted

We are looking for the following Officers to be co-opted on to the Executive Committee :

 

  • Black and Minority Ethnic (BME)

1. Will act as the representative to the Graduate Union on BME matters

2. Look to build a community, through events, and through empowering reps in colleges and possibly departments

3. they will be a member (non-voting) of the executive committee and will work with other officers to advance the objectives of the Union.

Finally, they will work with other BME campaigns in Cambridge and will help make Cambridge a diverse & friendly place for all. 

So overall, the BME officer will build a community for our members.

To be eligible to apply, you will need to be a member of the GU, you will be a Grad/Post-Grad, or mature UG, 4th UG, clinical science student or a partner of the above. It is also important to self define as BME.

  • Disabled Student Officer

1. They will act as the representative to the Graduate Union on Disabled Student matters

2. Look to build a community, through events, and through empowering reps in colleges and possibly departments

3. They will be a member (non-voting) of the executive committee, and will work with other officers to advance the objectives of the Union.

Finally, they will work with other Disabled Student campaigns in Cambridge, and will help make Cambridge friendly place for all. 

So over all, you will build a community for our members.
