A 60,000 word Ph.D. thesis would take around 6 hours to present. Your time limit... is...."3 minutes" !!!

An age-old issue with researchers is getting non-specialists to understand, appreciate and fund one's research. The 3min Thesis Competition is an attempt to address this and to support researchers to better communicate one's work to the public. It is a celebration of the exciting research done by PhD students and also a forum to get a taste of - in a breadth-first manner - the latest trends in research.

This is a great platform to improve research visibility, develop your presentation skills, receive feedback and recognition for your pitch, network with other researchers, enrich your CV and have FUN!

The Graduate Union is the authorised organiser of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition at the University of Cambridge.

Please note that you will have till the 4 December to sign up to a competition, you must hold your competition by the end of February.

For more information about the 3MT format, visit the University of Queensland's website.
