Three Minute Thesis

Three Minute Thesis 2018

Three Minute Thesis Competition

"If you have knowledge, let others light their candles in it."
-Margaret Fuller

A 60,000 word Ph.D. thesis would take around 6 hours to present. Your time limit... is...."3 minutes" !!!

An age-old issue with researchers is getting non-specialists to understand, appreciate and fund one's research. The 3min Thesis Competition is an attempt to address this and to support researchers to better communicate one's work to the public. It is a celebration of the exciting research done by PhD students and also a forum to get a taste of - in a breadth-first manner - the latest trends in research.

This is a great platform to improve research visibility, develop your presentation skills, receive feedback and recognition for your pitch, network with other researchers, enrich your CV and have FUN!

Come, cheer our '3 Min Thesis Competition Finalists' &  help them make their way to the national semi-finals, finals to global finals! You will have 3 minutes and 1 slide to engage non-specialists in your research topic.
