The supreme governing document of the GU is its Constitution – adopted 1 January 1981, and amended on 25 June 2012, 27 May 2014 and 18 June 2016.

Subordinate to the Constitution, the GU is also bound by Policy as set by its members.

Internal policies

The Trustees have adopted a number of internal policies, to govern the GU's day-to-day operations as a charity and an employer.

Memorandum of Understanding

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is a non-binding document agreed between the Graduate Union and the Cambridge University Students' Union, which outlines the ways in which the sister unions will work together. The MOU provides the framework with which the two unions can agree the terms of reference for joint bodies, and arrangements for providing joint services.
