CREATE - the Campain for Race Equality & Access through Training & Engagement - is a new Graduate Union campaign initiated by Mrittunjoy Guha Majumdar (GU VP and Chair of Exec 2019-2020), with Onyinye Okakwu (GU BME Officer 2019-2020), against all forms of racism at Cambridge.
Campaign Goals
We want to:
- Showcase varied postgraduate and mature undergraduate BME voices and their experiences within the University.
- Eliminate unconscious bias and discrimination by lobbying the University for better staff training, fair representation of BME postgraduates and mature undergraduates within the University space, and changing student culture by building awareness of cultural differences and unconscious bias.
- CREATE varied postgraduate and mature undergraduate
