GU Council

GU Council Meeting

6pm, Wednesday 29 May, at the Graduate Union.

If you are a voting member please be sure to come along to vote in your interim GU President, appoint GU Trustees, and vote in your new GU Executive Committee.

Graduate Union members are also welcome to attend.

GU Council is the policy-making body of the Graduate Union. Every college is represented on Council, often by their President or another MCR Committee Member, and has one vote.

GU Council meets at least five times during the academic year to discuss current issues and formulate graduate viewpoints to be presented to the University and colleges, by either the Graduate Union President or one of the appointed graduate representatives.

All GU Members are entitled to attend and speak at Council meetings, though only elected MCR officers and Faculty representatives are entitled to vote. If you want to raise a point, but cannot attend yourself, then please contact your MCR President or the President of the Graduate Union.
