The committee seeks to maintain an overview of the health related services in the University – including counselling, disability, dental, etc. It also addresses more specific activities like communicable diseases & meningitis liaison, involving colleges, occupational health, the NHS public health doctors, GP, HIV surveillance, etc. The committee seeks to draw together the various strands of provision existing in the University (college nurses, DRC, UCS, etc). It is the point of liason with NHS service commissioners & providers, ie PCT for GPs in particular, Addenbrooke’s Trust, etc.
