It may be possible to earn a limited amount of money by working in your spare time, and the university routinely employs graduate students in teaching undergrads, invigilating exams, working in libraries, or taking notes for students who cannot do so themselves. However, you cannot rely on this, and the University is unlikely to consider any work you intend doing to be part of your proof of funding when you apply.
