A free public lecture by Professor William Brown, Montague Burton Professor of Industrial Relations at the University of Cambridge. Professor Brown will talk about the decline of the trade unions in the past two or three decades, and the measures which governments and citizens have been forced to take to protect employment standards. He will argue that wages are too important to society to be left to unconstrained market forces.
