Description
The Disability Resource Centre, in collaboration with the Cambridge Admissions Office, and with generous funding from the Widening Participation Project Fund, will be producing a series of films to feature disabled students and raise awareness about disclosure, the application process, and support available.
The perspective of current students is vital for the success of this exciting initiative, and this is where we need your help. We are looking for students who would be happy to be interviewed on camera about their experiences as a student to promote positive disabled student experiences at Cambridge and reassure prospective students about disclosure, and financial and other support available. We will be filming at the DRC and around several Colleges and departments so you might also be asked to pretend to be doing some work or chatting with each other.
Filming will take place on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 June 2012. Each student will be given a 4 hour timeslot, so you would only be required for 4 hours on one of the two days. These timeslots will be between the hours of 9.00am and 6.00pm. For four hours’ work, we will pay you £20. If you are able to participate, please contact Tori McKee, DRC Office Manager, at tori.mckee@admin.cam.ac.ukor on 01223 760903, to let her know which times you would or would not be available on the above dates.
The films will be part of the Be Cambridge series of films. If you are interested in seeing some of the previous film work, please visithttp://www.becambridge.com.
