The Cambridge Screen Media Group at CRASSH presents….
Until she came to Cambridge a year ago, Clare Foster was a British screenwriter based in LA. Tonight, she will be at CRASSH to share her thoughts on and experience of the theoretical and practical aspects of adaptation.
Clare has worked with Mike Newell and Kristin Scott Thomas for companies like Disney, Film Four and Fox Searchlight. She has adapted novels by John Updike, Elizabeth Jane Howard, Sebastian Faulks and non-fiction by Norman Lewis, Flora Fraser, and Debra Kogan. Her original screenplays and treatments have won awards, been optioned, and developed. Her short film ‘The Lemon Tree’ won awards at Mesnil-le-Roi, Malta and San Sebastian films festivals. Her background before film school was in theatre.
The seminar will start at 5 for 5.15pm and take place on the CRASSH premises, followed by a Q&A.
